Privacy policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This policy explains how WANAS WELLNESS collects and uses your personal information when you visit our website, buy from us or contact us, and what your rights are. We keep it in plain English.

Who we are

WANAS WELLNESS is the trading name of Alaercio Brustolon, a sole trader, of 283-285 Willesden Lane, London NW2 5JA, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). We are the controller of your personal data under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What we collect

  • Identity and contact details: your name, email address, phone number (if given), and delivery and billing address. You give us these at checkout or when you contact us.
  • Order details: what you bought, order value, delivery method, order history and returns.
  • Payment information: payment card details are handled by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments and PayPal). We never see or store your full card number. We receive limited details such as card type, the last four digits and whether payment succeeded.
  • Communications: emails and messages you send us.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you've signed up to our emails, and your unsubscribe choices.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and how you arrived on our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see below).

We don't intentionally collect special category data (such as health information). Please don't send it to us.

How and why we use it

  • Processing and delivering your order, sending order and delivery updates, and handling returns and refunds. Lawful basis: contract (we need it to fulfil your order).
  • Answering your questions and complaints. Lawful basis: contract or legitimate interests (providing good customer service).
  • Keeping tax and accounting records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
  • Preventing fraud and keeping our website secure. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
  • Sending marketing emails. Lawful basis: consent, or for existing customers our legitimate interests in telling you about similar products (the "soft opt-in"). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising). Lawful basis: consent, which you can change at any time through our cookie banner or cookie settings.
  • Understanding how our website is used so we can improve it. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, or consent where non-essential cookies are involved.

We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Who we share it with

We only share what's needed, with service providers that act on our instructions (processors) or, where stated, as independent controllers:

  • Shopify: our e-commerce platform, which hosts our store and processes order data.
  • Payment providers: our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments and PayPal) process your payment. PayPal also acts as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
  • Our fulfilment partner (based in China): receives your name, delivery address, phone number (if given) and order contents so it can pack and ship your order.
  • Delivery carriers: receive your name, address and contact details to deliver your parcel and send tracking updates.
  • Email and marketing tools: our email marketing provider, if you've signed up for marketing emails.
  • Analytics and advertising providers: only where you've accepted the relevant cookies.
  • Professional advisers and authorities: our accountant, insurers and legal advisers where needed, and HMRC, the police or regulators where the law requires it.

We never sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside the UK. In particular, our fulfilment partner is based in China, so your delivery details are sent there to fulfil your order. Shopify and some of our other providers may also process data in countries such as Canada, the United States and the EU.

Where data is transferred to a country that the UK hasn't recognised as providing adequate protection, we use an approved safeguard, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with a transfer risk assessment. You can ask us for more information about these safeguards.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website.

  • Strictly necessary cookies make the shop work (for example, your basket and checkout) and don't need consent.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies help us understand how the site is used and measure our marketing. We only use these if you accept them through our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings on our website.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

How long we keep your data

  • Order, payment and tax records: 6 years from the end of the financial year they relate to (for tax and accounting law).
  • Customer service emails: 2 years after the issue is resolved.
  • Marketing email list: until you unsubscribe; then we keep a minimal record so we don't email you again.
  • Customer account (if you create one): until you ask us to delete it, subject to the order-record period above.
  • Abandoned checkout data: up to 12 months, unless you go on to complete your order (in which case it becomes part of your order record).
  • Cookie data: as set out in our cookie banner or cookie settings.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access a copy of your personal data;
  • correct data that's wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your data;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it;
  • object to us using it, including an absolute right to object to direct marketing;
  • receive your data in a portable format (data portability);
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, email support@wanasdigital.com. We'll respond within one month (sometimes longer for complex requests; if so, we'll tell you why). It's normally free.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please contact us first at support@wanasdigital.com and we'll try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk, helpline 0303 123 1113.

Children

Our website and products are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Keeping your data secure

We use reputable providers and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers, and our store uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date at the top.
